Registration:
Fill in the fields on our Register page. Choose classes and complete the Releases & Agreements section, you will be directed to the Payment page. Tuition is $310. You may pay online, or by check. You may also download all 3 of our forms, complete them, and mail them to us with your check the old fashioned way. Paying by check will cost you less, and we prefer it! Tuition can be refunded through May 20, 2017, minus an $80 registration fee. Classes are limited and filled on a first come, first served basis. We will email your class schedule to you prior to camp.

Meals:
Bring your own lunch for noon break. Water bottle and afternoon snack are recommended! Some snacks are available for purchase.

If your child is 8 or 9 years old:
All campers 8 or 9 must be accompanied by a parent or a designated guardian. The experience for kids this age is much more meaningful if they have someone to help them navigate the week.

New Students 8-12:
All first time students 12 or younger must enroll in our "Folk Arts Sampler" class. Kids sample the music, dance, and arts classes offered at our camp.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Much help is needed to make this camp possible and to keep costs down. Indicate on the Registration form when you would like to help. To volunteer contact Sheila Evans Hanson at 907-868-7631 or alaskafolkartsvolunteer@gmail.com.

Electronic Devices:
Cell phones must be turned off during classes unless students are using the record function. Recording devices may be used to record classes and lessons.

For Safety's Sake - Closed Campus:
Students of (any age) may not leave campus unless they are accompanied by a parent or a designated adult, or have a written note from a parent or designated adult. Students who need to leave prior to 3:15 pm must check out at the front desk (with their adult) before leaving campus. Parents, especially of teens, please discuss this with your children.

For St. Mary's Sake:
St. Mary's Episcopal Church has been our camp's home for many years. This wonderful community has opened it's doors to us and helped us build our community! Parents, please remind all family members to be respectful of the plants, lawns, buildings and spirit of our campus!

Financial Aid:
Financial aid is available for a portion of the camp tuition. Contact us for more information. Financial aid is based on financial need, and the size of our Financial Aid Fund. Everyone is welcome to donate to this fund (see our "Donate to the Financial Aid Fund" button in the middle of our Home Page).

Counselor Positions:
Students 15-17 years old with past camp experience may apply for counselor positions. Counselors help set the tone of the camp, serve as examples and moral support for younger students, and assist with the day-to-day operations of the camp. If you are interested, check YES in the Camp Counselor box on the Registration form!

Instruments:
Students are responsible for providing their own instruments. Label every item and instrument brought to camp (and put a name card inside the case for good measure). If you want to take a class but don't have the required instrument, don't be discouraged. First try all of your own resources. If you are unsuccessful, we can help find someone willing to loan you an instrument for the week. Contact Jill Brubaker after May 31, 2017, for a list of instruments for loan (phone: 907-240-2940). You will need to make the connection with the owner, have the instrument ready for camp on the first day, and get it safely back to the owner.

Evening Programs:
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings will feature events that the whole family can enjoy! Parents are responsible for supervising their own kids at these events.

Evening Workshops:
Evening music workshops will not be offered this year. If you'd like a private music lesson with one of our instructors let us know and we will pass the request along!

Special Note to All:
Camp is loads of fun, but it can be intense. During this week we recommend keeping other activities to a minimum so that the participants can concentrate and enjoy the experience!
